Internet Connections
You have several options regarding your internet supply:
- Sam Properties – we offer a basic Broadband Wi-Fi connection in some of our properties for the extremely low price of just £75.00 (£6.25 per month*)! This option is great if you just want to check your emails, social media and do your Uni work and save your pennies at the same time. The Signup Form can be downloaded here or drop into our office (if you live at Plymouth Village please see Tony). Please check with us to make sure your property is covered by this offer before you complete the application form. . .
- Glide Utilities – Glide can add phone and broadband connection into your monthly utilities payment. Their system uses O2′s network instead of BT’s and boasts industry-leading download speeds of up to 24Mbit/s – full details here. ………………………………………………………………………
- Other Providers – If you decide not to use either of the above you can arrange for any other Internet Service Provider to setup a connection to your property. Please see below for information about Telephone connections. Please remember that you cannot have Satellite or Cable internet/TV installed without the written permission of the Landlord so you must check with us if you are thinking about applying for these sorts of services and your property does not already have a connection.
Telephone Connection
We do not keep records of our Tenants’ phone lines, landline phone numbers or whether phone lines are active or not.
All of our properties have phone points but you will need to contact BT to discuss connections. Sam Properties does not accept any responsibility for Telephone connections or any fees or charges related to them.
If you have a telephone receiver you can plug into the phone point, if there is a dial tone when you pick up the receiver then the phone line is still active. If there is no dial tone it is inactive and BT will charge you a connection fee for connecting the line.
To find out the Telephone number of the line (if there is a dial tone), you can call 17070 and the number of the line will be read out to you.
*£75.00 standard setup fee per device per Tenancy. Connection expires along with your Tenancy and would need to be renewed if you renew your Tenancy. £6.25 per month based on a full 12-month connection. Connection is shared with other users in the building so connection speeds are variable. Daily download and upload limits apply.
