Rent is due on the 1st day of each calendar month (or the 1st day of each Quarter if you are paying in Quarterly instalments). If, for whatever reason, your rent is not paid on the correct date you will be in Arrears and charges can be applied for the late payment of rent and for breaching the Terms of the Tenancy Agreement.
If you know in advance that your rent will not be paid on time, please email us to inform us so we can make arrangements. Usually, if we are informed in advance and we can arrange an alternative payment date we are able to waive the charges.
Please see here for payment methods you can use when paying overdue rent.
If payment is still not forthcoming even after we have tried to contact you we will then contact your Guarantor to seek payment from them instead. If you do not have a Guarantor or your Guarantor refuses to make payment, action to evict you may be considered as well as Court action to recover the money due as well as our costs in taking this action.
We would always rather reach an amicable agreement instead of levying charges, so please do contact us if you have any concerns or problems about paying your rent. We will do what we can to help you reach a suitable payment solution.
